The makeup/face paint for Weak as a Kitten’s Cunt is direct augmentation of the characte Colombina of Commedia Dell’Arte. Colombina is a stock character within Commedia Dell’Arte and acts as “saucy servant girl”. Having established interest in the tradition of Commedia Dell’Arte as the source at which many actors return to to understand the art, I found Colombina to be a compelling vacancy with which to create this naive, precocious child with Faye and Hugh.
